Front Nose FAQ's

1.Will the Nose fit any Car ?

~ No, Its molded to fit on any 1982-1992 3rd Generation F-Body (Firebird and Trans Am's). ~

2.Will I need to Paint the nose ?

~ The nose comes in a black or white gelcoat. But it will need to be painted anyway so it does not matter the color of Gelcoat. Comes nearly finished only needs a light filling and sanding before the paint job. ~

3.How long after I pay will it take to recieve the nose through mail ?

~ Normally it takes 4-8 weeks, after payment is recieved. Although sometimes orders are high and the wait can be up more than this, so please if your in a hurry, please email us if the part your ordering is in stock or on schedule. ~

4.Do I need to finish the nose ?

~ The nose needs light sanding, and light filling before repainting it, you will only need to sand it with 320 grit sandpaper or higher. ~

5.How hard is it to mount ?

~ I found with a partners help on holding it up while mounting the nose that it is really not hard to install at all. You will need to line it up with the fenders and drill holes through the 2 Tabs on the nose for bolting it to the fenders. ~

6.How long will the Nose last ?

~ I have had mine on my car since 2002 and its still looks as new as when I installed it. Like anything if you take care of it, it will last many years. ~

7.Is the nose Authentic to the show?

~ Yes, Its molded from a nose used on show. ~

8.Is there any tips on how to install it?

~ Yes, you want to make sure all of the bolts are loosened on the hood and fenders and the headlights so you can adjust them to fit with the bumper when its fitted. Every bumper should be fitted by someone with knowledge of installing a custom bumper. Most paint shops should know how to install it. But many first timers have added this bumper just fine. Its really not rocket science. So go ahead have some fun and install it yourself, after all, dont you want to be able to tell people you built it your self? And thats what this hobbie is all about. Think of it as a big Toy Car your assembling but in this case its a real Car. ~

4. What tools do I need to finish my Nose or any other fiberglass part?

~ You will need, sanding paper 320 grit and 400 grit wet sand paper. Bondo and  hardener. 1 liter of bondo can cost about $10 or less, comes with hardener most the time. Just apply some bondo on a cardboad and apply a pintch of hardener , mix with bondo spreader and you have about 5 minutes to apply it, gets hard quickly. Allow about 5-10 minutes to dry then sand excess off with sand paper, you may need a more course grit paper at first if removing thick amounts. So use the bondo sparingly, dont apply to much. When your done filling in any imperfections you should sand the part with 400 grit wet sand paper, use running water over the part to keep the paper clean. Then when you have everything sanded, your ready to primer and paint the Nose, have fun. The tools are the same for all parts, except the dash, pod, upper console, lower console requires a Rotary Tool to make the cut outs for electronics and switchbuttons.

1 and 2-TV DASH FAQ's

1.What Electronics will fit in the dash you offer?

~ I recommend using www.jupitere.com  for electronics for the 1 & 2 Tv Dashes we offer. ~

2.Will I need to Finish the Dash?

~ The dash comes in a black gelcoat just like the nose we offer. In the out of mold condition it requires light sanding and light filling with bondo. You will need to make alot of cuts on the dash when installing the electronics, Tvs ect, so you will need to have it painted after electronics are installed. Which makes no sense for anyone to purchase a dash allready painted. ~

3. How long does shiping take?

~ Once payment is recieved, shiping takes around 2-8 weeks. Also depending on waiting list. ~

The Rotary Tool allows you to make your cut outs for the speaker grills, vox area, and for the dash electronics. Then when you have everything sanded and with your cut outs, your ready to primer and paint the dash, have fun.
