Shop is equiped with all the tools needed and most important is having a Fiberglass Man with 25 years experience working on high Quality Fiberglass parts. He does other side jobs as well, such as working on fixing up fiberglass jet ski's/boats, Truck covers and also builds bumper kits for other cars such as BMWs.

 


 

MOLD and FIBERGLASS PROCESS...

  

Before making a Mold, alot of sanding and priming must be done. Also must wax a part very good by hand with mold release.  Then add a Film spray to the parts before adding the Gel Coat.

 

Here the parts are being shot with Gel Coat, this will be fiberglassed onto once dried.

 

Now the next step is adding more gel coat puddy over the part. Then with resin we add 1 Layer Fiberglass over the part. 

 

Here the extra glass hanging must be cut. Then we roll the glass with a roller to remove air bubbles.

The first layer of fiberglass must dry over night. Next day repeat this process, Repeat until you get a nice thick mold, usually 5 layers of Fiberglass must be used. Then to make a part its pretty much the same thing working from inside the mold.

As you can see from this brief over view making fiberglass parts is time consuming and not easy.
